100 Word Challenge: Garden
I think this space needs a dash and peek of my creative imagination every now and then. Today I am answering a prompt from my good friends Tara. If you feel inspired you should join in too!
She inhaled deeply and blew the butterfly away from her face. Her dark mood had no room for the beautiful flashes of color that contrasted the grey sky. The flowers were already stomped into oblivion. She pictured his face on every bloom as she ground them, weeping, into the soil with her size 5 vans.
No more whimsical rounds of plucking petals and letting them decide her fate. It had been decided. She brushed dirt and petals off her black dress and headed for the car. The service was at four sharp and he would hate for her to be late.
